About Losea Ceramics
~Ashleigh Naada
Welcome to Losea Ceramics (pronounced lo-see), a small batch ceramics company, honoring the legacy of my father and grandmother affectionately known as “Losie.” They both radiated laughter and joy and serve as the guiding light on my artistic journey.

To Granny,
Your appreciation for all facets of arts and crafts serve as a constant reminder that creativity knows no boundaries. Your love for exploration and learning continue to inspire me, allowing my ceramic pieces to showcase a range of techniques, textures, and colors. Like you, I celebrate the beauty of exploration and living life to the absolute fullest.

To Daddy,
While your musical talents were not passed down to me, the rhythm and harmony lives within and transcends into my ceramic pieces. The melodies created are translated into the graceful curves and fluid lines that grace my work - a testament to your creativity and the universal language of art.
Thank you for being a part of our story - embracing the healing power of pottery and community rooted in joy, laughter, and the pursuit of personal well-being. Together, let's honor the love of art in all forms.

Meet the Potter

My name is Ashleigh Naada, and I was born and raised in Washington, DC. Creativity has always been part of my everyday life. My
dad filled our home with music—you could often hear the soft crackle of vinyl playing throughout the house—while my grandmother, my “Granny,” was always busy making something. If she wasn’t crafting jewelry or knitting, she was often off to an art class or painting, her curiosity and creativity always in motion. Being surrounded by sound, texture, and constant making taught me early that creativity isn’t just something you do—it’s something you live with.

After graduating with my master’s degree and stepping into the 9–5 world, I found myself feeling a bit flat. Life felt newly structured, and I began craving a creative outlet—something tactile, grounding, and just for me. That pull led me to take a pottery course at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, where I first fell in love with working in clay.

Life eventually pulled me in other directions, but in September 2022, I found my way back to the studio—and this time, I stayed. Clay became my sanctuary. The studio became a place to quiet the noise of the world, slow my hands, and reconnect with myself.
Today, pottery remains a grounding and healing practice for me. Each piece is shaped slowly and intentionally, carrying rhythm, movement, and presence—rooted in the music, curiosity, and constant making that filled my childhood home. Through Losea, I hope to share that same sense of calm, joy, and connection with you.
